Volunteer Job Descriptions


Market:
Oktoberfest will maintain a booth that sells tee-shirts and raffle tickets. Volunteers are needed to show and sell items to the public as well as accounting for inventory.

Rotary Info Booth
Rotarians (only) needed to answer questions about The Rotary Club of The Woodlands’ purpose and activities, including but not limited to Scholarships, Community Activities, Awards and a pictoral display (posters) of club activities.
The Rotary Booth will serve as the central clearing house for

  • Sale of Oktoberfest 2010 raffle tickets
  • Sale of Oktoberfest t-shirts and other items the Oktoberfest Committee may choose
  • Accounting of all monies received from sales
  • Distribution of Rotary International printed materials as appropriate
Runner:
Escorts volunteers to their assigned positions. Run errands, carry messages between booths as needed.

Sales:
Sells admission tickets and food/beverage coupons to festival guests.

Ticket Takers:
Volunteers will confirm that festival guests have the correct admission bracelet on their wrists. These individuals are key to ensuring that our patrons experience a sense of welcome as they enter the festival. Security personnel will be posted at each gate and Ticket Takers are not expected to confront or challenge anyone entering the venue without the proper admission bracelet. As a host, you can direct such an individual towards the Admission Booth and request the assistance of Security personnel as needed.

Volunteer Check In
Checking in volunteers, passing out t-shirts or working in the volunteer HQ (rest area) / lost kids & lost & found area.
